Hey everyone,

In our last post, I introduced you to the whirlwind of joy and challenges that make up our family life. Today, I want to share a bit more about why I decided to start this blog and the business that grew from it. It’s a story of frustration, hope, and a deep desire to make a difference not just in our lives but in the lives of others navigating similar paths.

When we began our journey with Max’s diagnosis, like any parent, I was determined to do whatever it took to support him. It wasn’t long before I realized that finding the right tools and resources to help him thrive was a daunting task. The cost of special needs equipment and toys was prohibitively high, and it struck a nerve. I remember staring at the price tag of a sensory toy that was hundreds of dollars over our budget and feeling not just dismayed but angry. How could essential tools for our children’s development be so inaccessible?

That moment was a turning point for me. I thought about all the other families facing similar challenges, and I knew there had to be a better way. Why should anyone have to choose between affordability and the well-being of their loved ones? This question sparked my mission: to create a business that provides affordable, high-quality resources for families like ours.

I spent countless hours researching, reaching out to suppliers, and learning everything I could about the market. The more I learned, the more motivated I became. I wanted to ensure that no parent felt the helplessness I felt when looking at overpriced products. Starting this business wasn’t just about selling items; it was about challenging an unfair status quo and empowering families.

Alongside the business, this blog has become a space to connect with you all. It’s where I share the highs and lows, the funny moments, and the tough times. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that sharing our stories creates a community of support and understanding. It’s comforting to know that we’re not alone in our struggles and that our experiences can help others feel less isolated.

Moreover, I’ve been working on a series of children’s books that reflect our lives. These aren’t just stories; they’re lifelines to understanding, normalcy, and acceptance. They are about showing the beauty of diversity and helping children learn empathy from a young age. My hope is that these books will help other kids see the world through a wider, more inclusive lens.

Lastly, I’ve taken up DIY projects that cater to special needs. It’s been incredibly rewarding to craft things that not only meet Max and Laina’s unique needs but also bring joy to others. Whether it’s a homemade sensory board or a custom piece of adaptive equipment, each project is a labor of love—a love I’m eager to share with you all.

This journey has been about transformation—turning our challenges into opportunities to make a difference. It’s about more than just making life work; it’s about making life wonderful, in all its messy, beautiful complexity.

Thank you for being here, for reading our stories, and for sharing this path with us. Your support means the world, and together, I believe we can create a world where love, understanding, and accessibility are abundant.

With all my love, Jenny
