OUR MISSION
Through our educational resources, products, and community, The Sensory Source is here to support families with ASD. Our website is a mix of practical resources and support, featuring a handpicked selection of sensory tools and toys that meet the unique needs of your loved ones with ASD. We choose these products with care, ensuring they really make a difference. And it’s not just about the products—we’ve got blogs, vlogs, and stories from folks who have been in your shoes and are navigating similar paths. We want you to know that what you’re doing is amazing, and we’re with you every step of the way.
OUR VISION
At The Sensory Source, our dream is to create a close-knit community for parents and caregivers of kids with special needs. We are building greater acceptance, awareness, and compassion for ASD families to give them strength to participate in the world without prejudice, shame, or judgment. By finding fulfillment, connection, and a sense of belonging that honours your unique journey, we can create happier kids, happier parents, and happier families.
Our Purpose
In recognition of the immense love and effort caregivers of ASD families pour into their loved ones, the driving purpose of the Sensory Source is to ensure that they never feel the need to retreat into isolation, and instead, feel empowered to step into the world with confidence.
We believe that what you do is extraordinary—a profound act of devotion that teaches the world about compassion, empathy, and resilience. You deserve to feel that same warmth and understanding, to know that your well-being matters as much as the care you provide.
A Mom's Love & Determination...
The Sensory Source is the creation of Jenny Jacobs. A loving wife and mom of two children who understands first-hand, the struggles and challenges of raising children with special needs.
After years of tireless research and trying to adapt and provide the unique needs to help her family, she was struck with how isolated and alone she felt.
Jenny also became frustrated that after discovering many potential solutions, the high costs meant that so many of those promising options were unattainable.
That’s when she made it her mission to find affordable solutions and focus on the positives to make the best life possible for her family.
Jenny wanted to help other families going through similar challenges. She created the Sensory Source so she could share her journey, valuable resources, offer helpful tips, budget friendly options, and a safe, supportive community, in one place… the Sensory Source.
